CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. --
Artillery units are conducting live-fire training exercises here, that will involve around-the-clock firing on the Whisky and Zulu impact areas, on the northern part of the base, beginning at 6 p.m. Friday and is scheduled to end 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7.
Depending on atmospheric conditions, the sound of the explosions may be amplified and heard up to 50 miles away.
