Road closure for Stuart Mesa Road

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. --

Portions of Stuart Mesa Road will be closed for traffic accident investigation Tuesday.

Camp Pendleton Police and The Naval Criminal Investigative Service will close a portion of Stuart Mesa Road between Cook Rd. (31 Area) and Las Floras Fire Station 10 (41 Area) from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday to conduct a traffic accident investigation.

All northbound traffic entering the closure area will be rerouted except for those units conducting training at Range 130 and 131.

Traffic needing to enter the Las Flores/41 Area will be required to enter Stuart Mesa Road from Las Pulgas Road.

All traffic wanting to access Stuart Mesa Housing, MCTSSA, Weapons and Field Training Battalion and Assault Craft Unit-5 will be required to enter the base through the Main Gate and access Stuart Mesa Road from Vandegrift Blvd.

All bicycle and North County Transit District traffic will not be permitted to use the closed portion of Stuart Mesa Road during the closure.

The Camp Pendleton Police Department will post patrol units and place traffic barriers at the Southern and Northern portions of the road closure to direct and detour affected traffic.
