Federal Voting Assistance Program conducts workshop

“We know that there is a lot of turnover among voting assistance officers, so we want them to be familiar with the forms, rules, and where to find information to help people interested in participating in the process to vote,” said McGuire.

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. --

The Federal Voting Assistance Program conducted a voting assistance workshop at Marine Corps Installations West Mail Processing Center here, Jan. 14.

Paddy McGuire, the VAP deputy director, provided the voting assistance officers in attendance with instructions on how to help people in their military units that are interested in voter registration and participating in the electoral process.

“We know that there is a turnover among voting assistance officers, so we want them to be familiar with the forms, rules, and where to find information to help people interested in participating in the process to vote,” said McGuire.
