CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. --
Camp Pendleton is installing an eight feet tall perimeter fence on its Southern border that is adjacent to the North Oceanside Terrace neighborhood.
Installation of the new fence started Feb. 3 and is scheduled to be completed Feb. 28. Crews will be installing the new fence Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
The new fencing will be constructed of chain link material and will not be topped barbed wired. The old 6 feet tall fencing will remain in place and the new fencing will be installed on the Camp Pendleton side of the boundary. Some of the new fencing will extend further East of the existing fence currently in place.
