Base sirens to sound during testing April 5, 2013 — The San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station herewill be conducting quarterly siren tests April 9 - 10. SONGS technicians will perform "growl" tests on 10 Sirens on base independently. The sirens will sound for 3-5 seconds during each test. Sirens’ sounding during this time is no cause for dialing 911.
