Press Release 13-009 Noise levels may increase aboard Camp Pendleton

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. --

Camp Pendleton aircraft units will be conducting live-fire training exercises in the Whiskey impact area from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday. In addition, other aircraft will be dropping high explosive bombs in the Zulu impact area from 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday.

Depending on atmospheric conditions, the sound of the explosions may be amplified and heard up to 50 miles away.
