Press Release #15-006 Weekend noise levels may increase in the vicinity of Camp Pendleton

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. -- Camp Pendleton units will be conducting extended live-fire mortar training exercises in the Whiskey and Zulu impact areas from 6 a.m. to midnight Saturday, March, 14 and Sunday, March 15 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Depending on atmospheric conditions, the sound of the explosions may be amplified and heard up to 50 miles away.
