Cpl. Sylina Alexander, a global combat supply support clerk with 1st Maintenance Battalion, competes in trap shooting during the 2014 Commanding General’s Cup Recreational Shooting Tournament here Aug. 20.

The shooting tournament will continue until Aug. 22., from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Base Skeet and Trap Range 107 near building 25167. Each has a four-member max, and a three-member minimum.

Teams need to register in person at the range in order to schedule a time to compete.

According to Cpl. Richard Carabello, heavy equipment mechanic with 1st Maintenance Battalion, every two weeks Marines from 1st Maintenance Bn. volunteer in order to improve the Corps and Community around them.

The event included, free T-shirts, pizza, and drinks.

"We are thankful for all of the volunteers that came to help us out today," said Chantel Sadler, a field brand manager for Barefoot Wine.

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. -- The Missoula Children's Theatre visited Camp Pendleton to audition, rehearse, and perform the Rapunzel play at the base theater here, Aug. 11-16.

According to the MCT website, for more than 40 years, the Missoula Children's Theatre has opened both hearts and minds of children to the possibility of achievement through creativity and teamwork that they learn during the theatrical process.
