A U.S. Marine Corps AH-1Z Viper and a UH-1Y Venom, with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 367, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, conduct training during National Training Center Rotation 23-07 at Fort Irwin, California, April 27, 2023. During the exercise, HMLA-367 supported 75th Ranger Regiment and 3/160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR) as the sole rotary-wing fire support element, enhancing joint planning and execution of long-range assault force escort, deep and close air support, and direct-action raids.
