Cordle received an award for Civilian Volunteer of the Year. She served more than 1,040 hours in 2011 and is actively involved in supporting Marines, sailors and families of 1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment,  1st Marine Division. Cordle also volunteers with Wounded Warrior Battalion West.
