General:

Who is eligible to make reservations?
Personnel (Military or Government employees) on official TAD orders may make reservations up to a year in advance.

Can retirees utilize transient billeting?
Retirees and active duty personnel on annual leave may use transient billeting on a "Space Available" basis. You will need to check for availability after 1600.

Can children stay in transient quarters?
Unfortunately our facilities were not designed with children in mind. Children under the age of 18 are not authorized in our quarters.

Eligibility:

What ranks may stay in transient quarters?
The Camp Pendleton Transient Quarters are all rank facilities. E-1 through O-10 are welcome. O-6 and above may stay in our DGQs, if available. Billeting makes the reservations for those quarters (725-3050).

May PCS Personnel stay in transient quarters?
Personnel arriving at Camp Pendleton on PCS orders may stay in the Transient Quarters, for up to 10 days, if the TLF (Ward Lodging) is full. PCS families with young children are reviewed on a case by case basis as children are not authorized in our facilities.

Can my civilian guests stay in transient quarters?
Civilians, who are not dependents, are not authorized in the Transient Quarters without a sponsor being present.

Payment:

What type of credit cards will the transient quarters accept?
The transient quarters accepts most major credit cards (VISA, MASTER CARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, DISCOVER). Debit cards are not accepted.

Can I pay by check?
Cash, travelers checks, personal checks or money orders may be used for payment.

If I'm on extended TAD, how often must I clear my bill?
We require your bill to be cleared every 30 days.

Visitor Policy:

What is the policy on visitors in transient quarters?
Visitors are defined as persons invited into a room or onto the property of the Transient Quarter Facilities, by a registered occupant/guest. Registered occupants/guests may have visitors in their rooms provided that these visitors do not interfere with good order, discipline or inconvenience other occupants.

The following rules apply:

Visitors are permitted during the following hours: Daily from 0800-2200

Visitors remaining after 2200 must also be registered at the Front Desk by the registered guest/occupant. An additional $5.00 per person, per night, will be added for overnight visitors. Overnight visitors must be over the age of eighteen.

All visitors will be reported to Front Desk, by Billeting staff when observed. Billeting staff is encouraged and permitted to ask for identification of individuals in Transient Quarter Facilities.

Visitors under the age of eighteen are permitted during visitor hours only and must be accompanied by legal guardian and registered guest/occupant.

Registered guests/occupants are responsible for the conduct of their visitors and for any damages they may incur.

Keys will not be issued to visitors. Visitors in possession of a room key and not accompanied by a registered guest/occupant, will be escorted off premises.

Visitors must be accompanied by a registered guest/occupant at all times.

Check in and Check out:

When can I check in?
Normal check in time is after 3:00 pm. If you know ahead of time that you be a late arrival, give us a courtesy call so we can hold your room.

When is checkout time?
Checkout time is at 11:00 am. You must notify the front desk if you have a late checkout or an additional day of room charges will be added to your account.

If I'm space available, do I need to checkout if I need a room for an additional day?

You must checkout at the specified time and check with the front desk after 4:00 pm to see if rooms are available.

Facilities/Amenities/Pets:

Are there rooms for quests with physical disabilities?
We have one room that complies with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). It is one of our DGQ rooms.

Is parking a problem?
We have ample parking at both our locations.

What amenities are in the rooms?
All rooms have cable TV with HBO, either a DVD player or VCR, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, irons, etc.

Are pets allowed?
No. Pets are not allowed in any of our facilities.

Is smoking allowed?
No. Smoking is not allowed in any of our facilities. Designated smoking areas are located outside the buildings.

Nearby dining/entertainment:

Where is the closest dining facility?
At our Mainside facility the dining facility (Bldg. 13100) is approximately a 5 minute walk. At our Del Mar facility the dining facility (Bldg. 210802) is approximately a 15 minute walk.

Is there an MCX or fitness center in the area?
MCCS has Exchange facilities, gyms, fast food, entertainment, etc. located within walking distance of both our locations.
