Press Release #12-025 Noise levels may increase aboard Camp Pendleton in observance of Independence Day

Camp Pendleton artillery units will be conducting a 21-gun ceremonial salute in observance of Independence Day at the 21 Area Del Mar Beach Resort from noon to 12:05 p.m. Wednesday.

The Del Mar Beach Resort is located in the southern portion of base and borders the Oceanside harbor.

Depending on atmospheric conditions, the sound of the explosions may be amplified and heard up to 50 miles away.
