CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. --
The 25th Anniversary Marine Corps Mud Run will take place this weekend on Camp Pendleton. This year's races will offer challenging Marine Corps themed obstacles placed throughout 5K and 10K competitive runs, as well as a kids (ages 6-12) 2K run. The races are open to both military and civilian participants.
Approximately 8,200 runners have already signed up to try and conquer this year's Mud Run. Online registration is closed, but onsite registration is open for relays not yet sold out on all days of the race at 6:00 a.m.
Media are cordially invited to cover the run from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. tomorrow, when Marines from across the installation will be running the course to compete for the Commanding General's Cup. Media requests to cover the event on Saturday and Sunday will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
