Press Release #14-048 Noise levels may increase in the vicinity of Camp Pendleton due to training exercises

Artillery units are conducting live-fire training exercises here, that will involve late night and early morning firing on the Whisky and Zulu impact areas, on the Northern part of the base, beginning 6 a.m. Tuesday and is scheduled to end Friday, Nov. 21.

Depending on atmospheric conditions, the sound of the explosions may be amplified and heard up to 50 miles away.
