Gunnery Sgt. Burnett C. Sheppard, operations chief, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, slams a mallet to win a prize during the Lincoln Military Housing annual Spring Carnival at Lake O'Neill, April 10. The event was an underwater-themed carnival that spanned the shores of the base's largest lake, and provided military families with everything from carnival rides and games to face painting and funnel cakes.
