Navy Capt. Michael Williamson (white hard hat), officer in charge of construction, Marine Corps Installations West; Jeff Harper (black slacks), president of Harper construction; and Col. Nicholas F. Marano (holding scissors), commanding officer, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, accompanied by other Department of Defense employees and contractors, cut the ribbon during an opening ceremony for five newly completed bachelor enlisted quarters at Camp Pendleton, June 16. The $122 million BEQs, include natural gas and charcoal BBQ grills, washing stations for equipment, bike lockers, horseshoe pits and volleyball and basketball courts. The five barracks have taken an estimated 413,448 man-hours to complete, include 876 rooms and can house 1,752 Marines.
