Petty Officer 3rd Class Dock Jacobs, a patient with Wounded Warrior Battalion West, Camp Pendleton, takes off running after he makes a hit during a softball game. November is designated as Warrior Care Month to honor those who were wounded, injured or became ill while defending our country. This year’s theme is “Focusing on Abilities- Supporting Wounded Warrior throughout their Recovery, Rehabilitation, and Reintegration.” Programs that assist with non-medical issues such as pay, travel, housing, transportation, education and athletics, are highlighted during this month.
