Camp Pendleton -- U.S. Marine Corps UH-1Y Venom with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 367, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, participate in the Cory Iverson Wildland Firefighting exercise. The exercise is an annual training event designed to increase emergency preparedness and cohesion between civilian and military firefighting agencies during California’s wildfire season at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. UH-1Y Venom Helicopters practice transporting water in a Bambi Bucket , the Bambi Bucket is a firefighting tool that can hold up to 7,600 pounds, roughly 911 gallons, of water or fire-retardant foam used to fight wildfires.
