Prepare to par-up and drive for Camp Pendleton’s Marine Memorial Golf Course, where beauty and nature meet the sophisticated essence of top-notch golfing.

The unique and picturesque location offers a variety of activities for base occupants to take advantage of. From catered events and tournaments to golfing lessons, the course provides a well-rounded atmosphere for service members.

“Our catering options can pertain to small unit outings, or as large as Marine Corps Ball fundraisers,” Fanning said. “Having an event here is a great opportunity to improve unit cohesion.”

The course’s facility has a newly revamped snack stand and clubhouse that are located in front of the driving range and practice areas. The grounds also have a restaurant and bar, banquet rooms and a Pro Shop for clothing and golfing apparel.

“If you have free time or just need to get away, this is the perfect place,” said Glen Fanning, manager, Memorial Golf Course. “It’s a great stress-reliever and we’re also very family-oriented.”

The course has options for everyone. There are private and group instructions, junior golf programs, men’s and ladies’ clubs, and a free all-ranks golf clinic.

“There’s a common etiquette between golfers,” said Stanley Beal, retired army major, youth golf teaching professional. “It’s the same concept when service members meet each other. No matter where you are in the world, when you meet another golfer there is an instant connection.”

The Memorial Golf Course is open to all active duty, retired military, their families and Department of Defense civilian employees. Each of the programs offered at the course are all accessible for golfers.
