CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. -- Laura Delpena, an event volunteer, and Kaylee, 7, enjoy time in the ocean during the Exceptional Family Member Program beach event at Del Mar Beach, Aug. 2-3. The Best Day Foundation Orange County Chapter hosted the event for special needs children that are enrolled in the EFMP. The Sesame Street/USO Experience for Military Families is playing Thursday, July 31 and Friday, August 1 at the base theater for military ID holders and their guests. This year marks the tours fourth year visiting military installations in the U.S. and abroad. “The Sesame Street/USO tour was created 6 years ago and we couldn’t be more proud of all the moments we have had at home and abroad. As we celebrate the kick-off of our latest installment and venture out to visit, entertain and uplift even more military families this year,” said John I. CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. - Brig. Gen. John W. Bullard relinquished command of Marine Corps Installations West and Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton to Brig. Gen. Edward D. Banta during a Change of Command at the 11 Area Parade Field Aug. 1.Bullard who served as commanding general here since August 2013, acting as both the commanding general for Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton as well as commanding general for MCI-West, is retiring after 31 years of honorable and faithful military service.Before taking command of MCI-West, Banta served as the commanding general of 2nd Marine Logistics Group in Camp Lejeune, N.C. - CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. - Brig.
