Press Release #12-003 Noise levels may increase aboard Camp Pendleton
6 Feb 2012
Camp Pendleton artillery units will be conducting a regimental size live-fire artillery training exercise, Feb. 6-12.

The live-fire activity is normal; however it will be done on a regimental level which may result in amplified noise. Also, 24-hour live-fire training will take place, Feb. 10-11.

Depending on atmospheric conditions, the sound of the explosions may be amplified and heard up to 50 miles away.
