Joe Garza, former Marine and Iwo Jima survivor, bows his head in reverence during a ceremony commemorating 64 years since the historic battle on Iwo Jima, held at the South Mesa Club, Saturday. Garza was one of hundreds who attended the three-hour ceremony, which was filled with stories of survivors reliving the gruesome battle, a wreath laying and the time honored 21-gun salute.
