News Release #23-001 The Security of Camp Pendleton, IRONMAN 23, remains in good hands
CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – At approximately 11:00 a.m. April 1, a vehicle attempted to gain unauthorized access to the installation through Cristianitos Gate during an off-base traffic pursuit involving the California Highway Patrol. A Military Policeman assigned to the gate deployed the final denial barriers and successfully disabled the vehicle. The quick thinking and sound judgment of the Marine on duty prevented any incursion to base property, or any interruption to the base residents and its visitors.
