Approximately 300 people ventured out to Camp Pendleton’s Fiesta Day on the lawn of the Ranch House here Sept. 14.

The Officers’ Wives Club and the Enlisted Wives Club came together in a massive recruiting effort for new members for both organizations.

“Our main goal is to let the spouses know what the base has to offer them,” said Rhiannon Reigelsperger, a representative of the Enlisted Wives Club.

This years Fiesta Day marked the first time that the OWC and the EWC have combined efforts to reach the community of Camp Pendleton, Reigelsperger said.

Each of the clubs offers support during deployments and activities for families aboard base.

On hand for the party were more than 60 booths — offering a variety of services — that lined the driveway of the historical site.

“Out of the 60 tables here, we have home based businesses and also service organizations on hand,” said Reigelsperger.

Children who came out with their moms had the opportunity to play in a bounce house and go on a short horseback ride.
