MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. -- Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees and Smoothies welcomed guests during the grand opening of its cafe at Pacific Plaza, June 9.
The franchise is decorated with a theme approach in a friendly atmosphere exhibiting genuine Hawaiian decor.
“We would really like our store to be a place to get away and relax for the Marines, sailors and their families,” said Kathleen Yang, co-owner of Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees and Smoothies. “We plan to offer many special events, such as family movie night, bachelorette night and pro sports events.”
The cafe offers exclusive Hawaiian ground coffees including the Kona-Blend Espresso, which is famous for its mild acidity and nutty sweetness. All of the smoothies are gourmet, all natural and custom blended with fresh fruit.
On top of coffees and smoothies, the cafe offers Koa Teriyaki Grill, an addition to the traditional Maui Wowi concept. The menu includes soft tender pieces of chicken and steak, marinated on teriyaki sauce and grilled to perfection.
Yang also said to look out for coupons that will include discounts and special offers on their products.
