MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. -- The 2010 Marine West Exposition is scheduled to be held at Bldg. 2238, in the 22 Area of Camp Pendleton, Jan. 27 and 28.
The event will provide service members and civilian personnel the opportunity to observe and interact with new and upcoming weapons, equipment and systems designed to enhance the fighting capabilities of the armed forces.
Along with displays of current and future Marine Corps assets, the expo will feature new systems used against improvised explosive devices.
Improvised explosive devices systems are being employed in a growing number of other military roles; for example, chemical and biological agent detection, facility and perimeter surveillance and reconnaissance, according to a newsletter provided by marinemilitaryexpos.com.

Event attendees will be required to have photo identification to register and enter the expo. Registration will be at the entrance of the event; however, service members in uniform will not be required to register. There is no fee to attend the expo.
