MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. -- Camp Pendleton residents and visitors enjoyed an opportunity to receive big deals on family-fun during the annual Information Tickets and Tours Exposition, Aug. 14.
The event incorporated more than 50 vendors that distributed information regarding discounts and free admission for local entertainment venues and activities.
"The purpose of the expo is to let the Camp Pendleton community know what ITT has to offer for service members, families, civilians, retirees, and anyone else associated with the military," said Anne Sherwood, manager, ITT Latitudes and Travel.
The affair included prizes, free food and activities for all ages. Patrons enjoyed everything from a paintball tent with human-shaped targets, to a mascot of the Sea World star Shamu, who charmed young children and posed for photos.
"It's a perfect opportunity to get out of the house, enjoy the weather and see what advantages are available," said Maria Castro, Marine spouse, Camp Pendleton. "I check with ITT anytime my family plans activities out in town."
In addition to offering special deals and military discounts, vendors also offered free gifts.
"It's important to give back to the service members," said Rich Ruescher, military ticketing manager. "This is why we offer deals and events like this."
To find out what ITT has to offer, visit one of their three locations at Mainside, School of Infantry and Camp Del Mar, or call (760) 725-5863 or 725-5805.
