“I like competing in the Flag Football League because it gives me and my Marines a chance to get to know each other on a different level,” said Mike Simmons, SOI Wrecking Crew. “By competing we are not just representing ourselves but our unit as well."
During this year’s Flag Football League, nearly 100 games will be played between 20 teams from now until April 15.
“I am very impressed with the number of Marines that decided to compete this year,” said Theresa Flores, Flag Football League coordinator. “Even if you’re not playing for your unit’s team it still makes a huge impact if you come out to support them."
Playoffs for this year will commence April 25 at the Paige Fieldhouse between the top five teams from each Division.
