MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. -- Brochures offering tickets various extraordinary experiences, from viewing wild animals at SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo, to attending major sporting events tickets and vacation packages, fill the displays at the Information, Tickets & Tours & Latitudes Travel office here.
ITT offers discounted prices to all of the nations theme parks, major attractions and more to service members and their families.
By negotiating through the Military Ticket Program in San Diego, which is overseen by Commander, Navy Region Southwest, ITT deals directly with the vendors to get these discounted prices.
“Since we are located in Southern California, it puts us in the heart a large variety of attractions,” said Anne Sherwood, the manager at ITT here.
Although Walt Disney World, SeaWorld Parks, Six Flags, Universal Parks, and the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park are the more popular attractions, ITT offers several other services as well.
Discounted prices for sporting events, museums, harbor cruises, dinner shows and various other local activities are also available.
Latitudes Travel, which is also located in the ITT office, is a full service travel agency, including hotels, airline and railway tickets, cruises and vacation packages.
“My friends and I saved a lot of money by going through ITT to buy tickets for the trip we took,” said Lance Cpl. Danielle Galie, a warehouse clerk with Headquarters and Support Battalion here, who visited Walt Disney World. “It was much easier than having to go to several different places to get everything we needed.”
Once a year a Joint Services group tour is constructed to promote adventure to all participating military installations. Past groups have traveled to China, Australia, and different regions of Europe. Trips include meals, sightseeing opportunities, airline tickets and transfers.
These trips provide the opportunity to meet people from different branches of the services and experience an opportunity to travel with people of similar interests.
“Our overall mission is to save our clients time, money and provide convenience in planning their vacations,” said Sherwood.
Reservations are required for some tickets, such as harbor cruises, dinner shows and hotel vouchers.
The ITT office previously located on Mainside, next to the Stars and Strikes Bowling Alley, is now located in the Pacific Plaza between the Veterinary Clinic and Maui Wowi.
“We strive to continue to improve our program and services by continuing to add additional tickets and services to create greater experiences for our clients,” said Sherwood.
