Road construction to delay daily commute on Pendleton

24 Aug 2012 | Camp Pendleton Public Affairs Office Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton

 Due to the construction on Vandegrift Blvd. which will begin on Aug. 27 and end on Nov. 27, all lanes between Wire Mountain Rd and Stuart Mesa Rd. will be congested.

To maintain a continuous flow of traffic a mitigation plan has been called into effect which will open lanes throughout the day.

On Mondays through Friday 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. two lanes inbound will be provide for the morning commute and one lane outbound. After 10 a.m. two lanes outbound will be provided for daily exiting of the base and one lane inbound.

During the Saturday and Sunday, two lanes heading inbound will be provided as well as one heading off base.
