UPDATE: Camp Pendleton vegetation fire

The movement of the vegetation fire North of Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton has been stopped and is 60 percent contained.

The Camp Pendleton Fire Department is currently on scene conducting mop up operations.

The fire started at approximately 2 p.m. and burned 4 acres.

The fire does not pose any threat to personnel and structures. Mutual aid aviation asset requests have been cancelled.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
