Warriors to scholars program to offer school orientation

The Marine Corps Community Services’ Marine and Family Programs Division is soliciting service members to attend an all-day event on two college campuses to gain exposure to veteran centers, curriculum and admission policies and to network with veteran students and graduates of two - and four - year colleges.

Participants will visit California State San Marcos College and Palomar Community College.

Only 20 service members will be selected to attend. Interested individuals are required to submit a copy of their SMART transcript and a two-page essay outlining their background, professional and academic goals no later than April 1.

All participants should consider the following attribute requirements when determining eligibility:

• Individuals must demonstrate good leadership and teamwork skills.
• Must express interest in attending college upon transition out of active duty service.
• Must exhibit initiative and maturity in the workplace.
