The Camp Pendleton and Miramar chapter of the National Naval Officers Association held its 2nd Annual Senior Leader Mentorship Seminar at the Pacific Views Event Center, May 8. Reconnaissance Training Company Marines received an aerial view of Camp Pendleton during Special Patrol Insertion/Extraction training at San Mateo Landing Zone, April 17. The Marines, students of the Basic Reconnaissance Course, took turns being hoisted into the air by helicopter during the SPIE portion of their Helicopter Rope Suspension Training. The San Diego Nice Guys and Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton held a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening of two beach cottages at San Onofre Beach, April 17.The cottages were dedicated in honor of Col. James Williams, an accomplished Marine pilot who served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War, and Col. April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month and the Department of Defense is calling attention to the resources available to service members who were victims of sexual assault. A group of senior executives from the Orange Country Young Presidents’ Organization came aboard Camp Pendleton for a day of touring base training facilities, observing range operations, and viewing aviation static displays, March 31.
