Brig. Gen. John W. Bullard surveys the fire in the Las Pulgas Area. The Las Pulgas fire started at 3:15 p.m. Thursday and effected Camp las Pulgas, Camp Margarita, Camp Las Flores, the 32 Area, the 22 Area and the 23 Area. Camp Las Pulgas was evacuated to the School of Infantry parade deck, Camp Las Flores, Camp Margarita and the 32 Area were evacuated to the I MEF parade deck in Camp Del Mar. The 22 and 23 Areas were ordered to shelter in place. Bullard is the commanding general of Marine Corps Installations West and Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.
