The 35th Commandant of the Marine Corps General James F. Amos, the 17th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, Sgt. Maj. Micheal P. Barrett visit Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton to speak with the local, state and federal firefighting departments who participated in firefighting efforts during the Basilone Complex Fire. Camp Pendleton Fire Department, CAL FIRE, the U.S. Forest Service, and many more local fire departments combined their efforts with military assets to combat the blazes across the base.
