Marine Corps Installations West and Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton held a ribbon cutting ceremony Sept. 3, to inaugurate the renovation of the Green Beach Operation Access point. The renovation of the bridge at the access point provides expanded training and tactical options to units conducting amphibious exercises within the area. With the improvements, the I Marine Expeditionary Force and Marine Expeditionary Units are expected to use Green Beach as an amphibious landing site and for conducting amphibious raids training more frequently to support future operations across the globe.
