Camp Pendleton is currently experiencing a power outage affecting the 52,53,62,63, and 64 areas due to a fire that occurred at about 6 p.m. yesterday at Electrical Sub-Station 3 in the 51 Area. Efforts are underway to restore power to critical infrastructure and mission critical buildings in those areas (Mess halls, clinics, well and waste-water lift stations) using generators. Currently we do not have an estimate as to when full power will be restored. Dining facilities in the 52, 53 and 62 areas have generators on site. The dining facilities will be serving a continental breakfast Wednesday morning, warm chow in the afternoon, and hot chow for the evening meal . Officials do not anticipate any impacts to providing the holiday Thanksgiving meal. Full power to the affected areas is anticipated to be restored by 4 p.m. Wednesday.
