MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. - U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Christopher Blackwood, radio operator with Marine Wing Communications Squadron 38, Marine Aircraft Control Group 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, conducts a wall ball exercise as a part of a physical fitness training session during Sergeants Course at the Staff Non-Commissioned Officer Academy, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, March 11, 2019. The importance of physical fitness is one of the focal points of the Sergeants Course, however, the main emphasis is placed on leadership, war fighting tactics, administration and the communication skills necessary for a sergeant to function at the leadership level.
