Staff Sgt. Shawn Martin, combat instructor, School of Infantry West, was presented the Navy and Marine Corps Medal during a graduation ceremony at the School of Infantry West, June 23. During M67 fragmentation grenade training, Martin saved the lives of his students after responding to an incorrect throwing technique.
