Jan 17, 2011
On Jan. 17, 7th Engineer Support Battalion used the move of the “Camp Pendleton Caboose” from Range 131 to the new location as a training exercise. Now that it has reached its final destination, volunteers along with the museum’s staff, plan to refurbish the caboose back to its famous camouflage-paintjob that was recognized on base during parades and events in support of operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. The “Camp Pendleton Caboose” can be viewed at the Mechanized Museum located near the Ranch House on the corner of Rattlesnake Road and Vandegrift Boulevard.
