Feb 17, 2011
The new 24 Area Single Marine Program recreation center hosted its grand opening, Feb. 17. The new location is nicknamed the “Landing Zone” since it is the Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton’s facility. The SMP locations on base are available for single Marines to help enhance quality of life by providing positive and rewarding outlets through recreation, community involvement and dynamic facilities. Each of the locations provide alcohol and tobacco free areas and include features such as large screen televisions, numerous video game consoles, Barbeque grills, pool tables and mini-movie theaters. For more information about the “Landing Zone,” call 760-763-0026.
