Gen. James F. Amos, 35th Commandant of the Marine Corps; and Sgt. Maj. Carlton W. Kent, Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps; both speak to injured Marines competing in the 2011 Marine Corps Trials at Camp Pendleton's Paige Field House, Feb. 25. Amos and Kent paid a visit in an effort to boost the morale of those competing. The trials are intended to select the top 50 Marine athletes to compete in the games as the All-Marine team for the Paralympics-style competition slated for May 2011. Marines competed along with allied forces and retirees in different sports including swimming, wheelchair basketball and sitting volleyball.
