Wayne J. Glenny, archeologist, EDAW Inc., contracted through the Assistant Chief of Staff’s Environmental Security Office, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, examines, pieces of a rare mineral called Piedra De Lumbre seen. This type of stone was a trade item primarily used for arrow heads and spear tips, making it extremely valuable to past civilizations that settled in the Camp Pendleton area.
