Postal Services

The mission of the MCIWEST-MCB Camp Pendleton Consolidated Postal System is to provide for the acceptance and delivery of official and personal mail addressed to military commands, agencies, authorized civilian organizations and single service members aboard MCB Camp Pendleton. The MCIWEST Consolidated Postal System works with the local and regional leadership of the United States Postal Service (USPS) and the mailing industry to provide superior postal support and services to service and family members aboard installations throughout the western United States. The MCIWEST Consolidated Postal System coordinates with the with commands and agencies worldwide to ensure deployed I MEF commands and service members receive timely and efficient mail service guided by USPS and Department of Defense regulations.

Camp Pendleton postal services are provided by both military and civilian facilities. Arrays of services are provided including: official mail, standard/accountable mail delivery, mailbox key issue (Building 16840) and money order and stamp sales. For more information, call 760-725-5183.

Postal Officer/Mail Manager Courses

The Mail Indoctrination (Indoc.) Course for the training of Unit Postal Officers, Unit Official Mail Managers and Unit Mail Clerks are held within the 16 Area Mail Processing Center (Bldg 16840) classroom on the last Tuesday of every month. All classes will start at 0800. To register, email the Postal Quality Assurance/Quality Control staff at mcbcampenpostal@usmc.mil providing the full Names, Rank and Unit of attendees.
