This exercise, the eighth iteration of its kind, will provide ready, trained and certified military and civilian resources to combat wild land fires in the region and culminates with a cooperative effort to extinguish a simulated wild land fire.  Navy, Marine Corps and civilian helicopters will be supporting Camp Pendleton and CALFIRE ground teams in establishing a fire line and conducting water bucket operations. The training will certify the pilots in these operations and build relations between the agencies involved.
