Community meetings are required to be held at certain key points in the cleanup process in accordance with federal and state requirements. Notices of any upcoming public meetings will be published approximately two weeks prior to the meeting in the North County Times, on the Scout's website , and at the two established IR Program Information Repositories. In an effort to reach affected community members, community meetings will be held in the community closest in proximity to the IR Sites of interest.
Technical Review Committee (TRC) Meetings
Federal regulations require the establishment of TRCs. The TRC facilitates input from parties affected by environmental investigation and cleanup activities. The Base formed a TRC 1991 and continues to meet on an as-needed basis to discuss and review remedial goals and cleanup progress.
