Corporals Course: Teaching Small Unit Leadership
December 15, 2015 — CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – Students of Corporal’s Course class 308-16 at Camp Pendleton are scheduled to graduate Thursday with the hopes using their new leadership skills to mold the future of the Marine Corps.
Finishing this course is a requirement for corporals in order to be eligible for promotion to sergeant.
Sgt. Patrick J. Ross, an instructor for the corporal’s course class 308-16 at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, said the three week course is designed for corporals to review and expand their understanding of the Marine Corps and what it takes to be a leader of Marines.

Marines and Civilian Chefs Compete Chef of Quarter Honors
December 10, 2015 — CAMP PENLDETON, Calif.— Cpl. Monica Rios and Lance Cpl. Marshall Griffiths, Food Service Specialists, Food service Company, Headquarters Regiment, 1st Marine Logistics Group, took first place during the Marine Corps Installations – West Chef of the Quarter Culinary Competition here, Dec. 9.
The 1st place winners will have a chance to go to the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners were also awarded medals.

Marine Corps Reinforces Political Campaign Guidelines
December 3, 2015 — CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – A message released by Headquarters Marine Corps reinforces policies involving Marines and Sailors participation in partisan political activities.
According to Marine Corps Administrative Message 603/15, active duty Marines and Sailors are allowed to register, vote and they are also allowed to express a personal opinion on political candidates, but may not do so as representatives of the Armed Forces
