Dennis Rogers plays the bagpipe as Security and Emergency Battalion Color Guard “post the colors” during the dedication ceremony of Pendleton’s Fire Station 10 in honor of Sgt. Brian E. Dunlap here April 6. Rogers is a pipe major with the San Diego County Firefighters Pipes and Drums band. Dunlap was an advisor for the Iraqi Army and firefighter with the Camp Pendleton Fire Department and in 2005 and was killed by an improvised explosive device while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Abu Fleiss, Iraq.
