3rd Annual Tails and Trails Dog Walk

The third annual Tails and Trails dog walk hosted by Marine Corps Community Services and Semper Fit was held at Camp Pendelton, January 27, 2018.

“MCCS and Semper Fit is happy to have the opportunity to provide the Tails and Trails event to our families. We’re all looking to have a good day, to get out here, with our dogs,” Sam Pelham, director of Semper Fit on Camp Pendleton.

Tails and Trails is one of 11 Hard Corps Race Series events on the installation, which include the Marine Corps Mud Run, the Water Warrior, and the 7k Beach Run, all hosted by MCCS.

“MCCS and Semper Fit are always looking for healthy activities for families to participate in. Today’s event is a 4k walk, so anyone can join. You’ll see many different types of dogs and many people bringing their kids to join in the fun as well, ” said Pelham.

Representatives from the Camp Pendleton Veterinary also participated were also on hand to answer any questions that the participants may have had and to remind the participants to take proper care of their pets by making sure they get the proper exercise, participate in social opportunities, are being fed correctly, and have all the necessary shots.
