Brig. Gen. Vincent A. Coglianese, left, presented Gunnery Sgt. Andy Darnell Jr., right, with the Armed Services YMCA's 2012 military volunteer of the year award, during the 69th annual Board Installation and Volunteer Recognition Dinner on Jan. 18, for over 100 hours of volunteering with the organization. Coglianese is the base commanding general of Camp Pendleton and regional authority of five Marine Corps bases in the Southwestern United States and Darnell is from 2nd Battalion 5th Marines.
